Certified Complete Level One Dental Assistant Expanded Functions - Three Day Course, Eleven Skills with Hands on Labs


This comprehensive and up to date course has practical hands on labs with real dental materials. Assistants will return to the office with lab experience using common protocols and techniques for the expanded function skills.

Due to our unique curriculum,   we are able to certify participants in both dry socket medications & periodontal dressings at the end of those sessions. With us, there is no worrying about how to get your clinical experiences in skills your office may not use.

Level One Dental Assistant Expanded Function Courses: Two New Courses Only - Removal of Adhesives & Preliminary Charting

This course is for dental assistants with previous full expanded functions certification (9 skills). After the completion of the two new skills approved by the Iowa Dental Board in July, 2015, the assistant will be certified as a Level One Expanded Function Dental Assistant.

Proof of previous expanded function certification required for Level One Certification to be given. 


Course Dates:   March 31, 2018 (pm)     OR      Sept. 29, 2018 (pm)

  • A team of instructors teach our expanded functions courses based on their areas of expertise,  improving your course content.
  • Class sizes are limited in the Level 1 courses due to the hands on lab component so register early to reserve your seat. Contact us      if interested but no space if available when trying to register.
  • All expanded function courses are held at the Impact Dental Training facility.
  • A signed registration form must be submitted by all participants prior to course date. 
  • Most expanded functions are held only at our location. Some like the two new courses can be down outside and we are willing to consider, based on instructor availablity, to travel for groups of 10 or more.  Four to six CEU's preferred. Depending on the distance, a travel surcharge between $5-15 per person may be added if outside the one hour travel radius of our office.
  • Course tuition and schedules are subject to change. Website listings will be up to date and supersede information provided elsewhere.
  • ​Courses may be paid online for via Pay Pal, credit cards (through PayPal portal) or by check via mail.
